How Alkaline Water will Extend Life and Reduce the Onset of Adult Degenerative Disease

By Michele Michaels We get old and sick due to excess acid in our body. So, it follows if we reduce the acid and increase the alkaline levels we would be healthier and live longer. However, some doctors say that the stomach acid kills the alkalinity so; drinking alkaline water will do no good. Well what about that? What happens in the stomach when we drink high pH alkaline water? The stomach maintains the pH level at right around 4.0. The more alkaline water we drink the higher the stomach pH goes, sometimes it will rise above 4.5. When this happens the stomach will produce more hydrochloric acid to bring the stomach pH back down to below 4.0. Hydrochloric acid and sodium bicarbonate is made from water, sodium chloride (table salt) and carbon dioxide. The sodium bicarbonate goes into the bloodstream and the hydrochloric acid goes into the stomach. The alkaline buffer in our blood is sodium bicarbonate, and it is the alkaline and acid buffers that are constantly monitoring the blood pH to maintain a constant blood pH of 7.365. When the blood becomes too alkaline, the acid buffer goes to work to bring the pH down; and when there is too much alkaline, then the alkaline buffer (sodium bicarbonate) goes to work to raise the pH level. From Sang Whang, inventor of Alkalife: Alkaline buffers are bicarbonate (HCO3-) mated with alkaline minerals. Examples of them are sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3), potassium bicarbonate (KHCO3), calcium bicarbonate (Ca(HCO3)2) and magnesium bicarbonate (Mg(HCO3)2). Acid buffer is mainly carbonic acid (H2CO3), a water and carbon dioxide combination. Carbohydrate completely burnt becomes carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O); therefore there is no shortage of acid buffer. It was Lynda Frassetto, University of California, San Francisco, who discovered in 1966 that we lose the alkaline buffer bicarbonates in our blood as we age. The process seems to begin at age 45 and by 90 we have lost 18% of the bicarbonates in our blood. When the bicarbonates in our blood are reduced it impairs the bodys ability to neutralize and dump the acid our body produces. It is also at the age of around 45 that symptoms of diabetes, or osteoporosis and other diseases related to the aging process occur. When these acidic wastes are not released from the body and begin to build up, theses wastes take the form of fatty acid, sulfate, phosphate, uric acid, cholesterol, kidney stones, etc. It is only the waters pH value that helps the blood receive bicarbonates. It is the most important function of alkaline water since we lose these bicarbonates as we age. When we alkalize our body we increase the ability of our blood to neutralize the acid. Our world has changed from an organic, agricultural base to one that is industrial and toxic. And because of the greed of our industries a lot of these toxins have found their way into our air, water, food, and alas our bodies. The more pollution, the more stress the more acid. High protein diets and soft drinks also add to the acidity and this is why we lose bicarbonates in the blood as we age. This is taken from Sang Wang, The medical society considers the reduction of bicarbonates in the blood as an inevitable fact of aging. I argue that the reduction of bicarbonates in the blood is the cause of aging and diseases, not the result of aging. As long as we can replenish bicarbonates in the blood, we dont have to age! Now Enter Alkaline Water To Drink or Not to Drink Only when the stomach produces hydrochloric acid do bicarbonates enter the bloodstream. So it is best to drink the alkaline water on an empty stomach with the water having a pH level of 9.5 -10. The reason for this is the alkaline will raise the stomach pH relatively high and that will cause the stomach to produce more hydrochloric acid, allowing for more bicarbonates to enter the blood. (I carry a bottle of water with me everywhere I go and my bottle of Alkalife and just drink it all day long.) You can get the Alkalife from www.drclarkuniversity.org Click on books and products and then click on the University book store and then the link on the left Alkalife So, now you know how alkaline water will prevent the onset of adult degenerative diseases and aging in general. Should You Try to Save Money on the Cost of a Tummy Tuck?

By Lynn Huber Should you try to save money on the cost of your tummy tuck? Or on any plastic surgery for that matter? Of course you should: as long as you can do it without sacrificing the quality and safety of your surgery. And this can be done by doing lots of research and homework. The average cost of a tummy tuck in the United States will run $6000-$8000. It will vary from state to state with the most expensive generally being on the East Coast. But the prices can vary from surgeon to surgeon even in a smaller city. In Indianapolis, for instance, there can be a difference of $1000 between two surgeons that are only 2 blocks apart. Does this mean one is better than another? Not necessarily and it also does not mean that the posted price is the one you will actually be paying. The total cost of your surgery should include the surgeons fee, anesthesia fee, and operating room fee. It should also include the implant fee if you are having breast augmentation. Did you know that you can save quite a bit of money by combining procedures? So, if you are going to get a tummy tuck this year and considering liposuction next year, you can save quite a bit by doing both at once. Or you might want to combine breast augmentation with your tummy tuck. Many surgeons will negotiate fees if you just ask. Or they will do extra procedures without additional charge. One of the things you will want to negotiate is the cost for any revisions that might need to be done down the road. This can save you a huge amount of money if there is something you are not quite happy with. Lynn Huber has spent the past 5 years working with women who are enhancing their bodies through plastic surgery. If you’re considering plastic surgery you can get more of her tips here: http://www.chooseplasticsurgery.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Lynn_Huber http://EzineArticles.com/?Should-You-Try-to-Save-Money-on-the-Cost-of-a-Tummy-Tuck?&id=442041 people loaning money finf me a personal loan for bad credit christmas instant no fax payday loan fast cash pole dance

Curb The Cost Of Borrowing Money – Take Cheap Unsecured Loan

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=John_Carry]John Carry Borrowing money never comes free of cost, no matter from which source you take out it. Normally, money borrowed through loans cost you comparatively less than money borrowed from the traditional source. Even loans also come with different rates, low and high, according to their type, credit status of the borrower and the attitude of the lender. If you want to borrow money through an unsecured loan and pay less cost for it then you can go for cheap unsecured loan. Cheap unsecured loan comes with low rate for which the borrower needs to pay less money in the form of interest. Besides being a money-saving option, cheap unsecured loan is risk free too. This loan is not backed by collateral. This means that the borrower does not offer any property as security while taking this loan. In case any property is offered as security, the lender gets the right to take its possession in the event of failure from the borrowers part. By offering no collateral, the borrower rises above this risk. [http://www.online-unsecured-loans.co.uk/cheap-unsecured-loan.htm target=_blank]Cheap unsecured loan takes the risk away from the borrower but shifts it on to the lender. The lender does not get any material assurance to get his money back in case the borrower fails. That is why the lender considers the credit record of the borrower carefully to assess his repayment ability. It is because of this reason borrowers with credit record get an easy approval for cheap unsecured loans. This, however, does not mean that the borrowers with unimpressive credit record cannot get approval for cheap unsecured loan. Proper searching and smart shopping will help the people having bad credit record to find out the suitable lender. The most convenient option of combing the loan market is the use of the Internet. Natural Haircare – Part 1

By Katlyn Jones Extra volume, extra shine, anti-dryness, anti-split ends, curly hair, straight hair, frizzy hair, flat hair. The choices are endless when trying to select the right shampoo. And in the ned, all of them are filled with unescesary chemicals. Take any shampoo from the drugstore and read the lable. You will most likely find isopropyl, a solvent that dehydrates and irritates your skin, is known to increase aging and can damage your immune system; propylene- and butylene glycol which can penetrate your skin and weaken your protein structure, among other things. And those are just two of the forty-something ingredients found in shampoo. So what does one do to maintain a beautiful head of hair without damaging the scalp or the enviroment? There are plenty of alternatives. The first one is to stop using shampoo and simply use apple cider vinegar and baking soda. I use this method and my hair is reborn! My hair has a fine texture, but I have insane amounts of it, so it was always flimsy and very difficult to set. After I switched from a hair-salon shampoo to vinegar and baking soda my hair has become silky, smooth and soft and is incredibly easy to set, even in very elaborate hairdos with minimal use of styling products. To wash your hair this way, mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of water and apply it to your roots. Massage well to increase bloodflow to your scalp. Let it rest for a few minutes and rinse it out. Next, mix about 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar wit 0.5-1 cup of water depending on the length of your hair. Pour it over the ends of your hair, let it rest for a minute and rinse. Done! That’s all there is to it. If you are not quite ready to take the leap and stop washing your hair, a good option is to change shampoo, and perhaps decrease the frequency of using it. Ask any hair expert and they will tell you that you should avoid washing your hair more than once or twice a week. Go to your local health store and ask the clerks. You will want a shampoo with as little content as possible, something that would suit hyper-allergy. It doesn’t have to be expensive, but remember that decreasing your hairwashing and using less shampoo will make a bottle last longer. 7 Ways to Lose Weight Faster on the Body for Life Diet

By Ian Mason If you’re starting your 12 week Body for Life challenge you may already be pumped and ready to start dropping pounds (and inches). Try the 7 tips below to help maximize the results of your program. Use a weight loss supplement. I’m not talking a diet pill here, but rather a supplement designed to help curb your appetite during non-essential times. This will keep you from eating anytime outside of your six meals. I recommend Phentramin because of its proven track record. Do cardio in the morning. This sets the pace for your body’s metabolism for the rest of the day. This also has the added benefit of reducing your body’s fat stores from then night before, helping reduce any caloric surplus. Vary your workout. Avoid doing the same type of exercises for more than a month or so. Your body will adapt to the exercise pattern and the exercises themselves will become less effective. Varying your routine will cause your body to rebuild itself continually as it will not be able to predict which workout is coming next- this means more muscle gain and more fat loss. Clench your fist. When you are selecting portion sizes, clenching your first when choosing items that are high in energy is a good way to provide the nutrition you need while reducing your caloric intake. Obviously your hand is smaller in physical size when clenched and your portion size will reduce with it. Stay regular. Make sure that you eat well and eat often. Keep your meals consistent and don’t cheat. The Body for Life program is designed for your long term goals, as well as substantial physical and mental changes after only 12 weeks. Your attitude is half of your victory (or defeat) and will be the deciding factor as to whether you achieve your goals or not. Exercise according to plan. It doesn’t matter if you’re feeling tired, sluggish, or just too darn lazy to commit to your workout- do it anyway! You need to properly estimate the levels of physical exertion that you are required to achieve in order to manifest your results. Cheating yourself out of a proper workout is a great way to sabotage your success. Lastly, stay in the game. Don’t get demoralized if you haven’t lost more than a few pounds a couple of weeks into it. Remember that you are making extensive changes to your body’s routine as well as its metabolism. It will need some time to adjust itself accordingly.Quitting your workout or diet too soon will cause any results that you may have had to simple fade as your body sinks back into its former routine. This program can be challenging, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not worth it! Thousands of people have re-defined their lives (and their abs) following this program and there’s no reason that you shouldn’t be able to do the same. Remember that it’s only three months, and three months is a very small chunk of your life. If you’d like to add a weight loss supplement to your diet, you can learn more about Phentramin at PhenForum. Unsecured Loans – For Tenants & Homeowners

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Vipul_J]Vipul J Different people have different needs. This is true even in loans market. People need loans for various reasons. Therefore, lenders in the UK have come up with a variety of loan options. Their loan amount ranges from as little as ₤1000 to hundreds of thousands of pounds. The loan periods also vary from a few days to many years. Lenders take care of your limitations as well. For instance, they offer loans to homeowners as well as tenants. Usually, homeowners find it easier to get a loan than tenants. To understand this, lets discuss about secured and unsecured loans. Secured loans are the loans that require collateral, i.e. if you own a property; you can put up this property as a security to get a loan. This gives the lender a sense of security since in case you default in the repayment; the lender may repossess the property and recover his money. Unsecured loans do not require collateral. This increases the risk for lenders and therefore, they charge high rates of interest on unsecured loans to compensate for the risk associated with such loans. The property which is offered as collateral is usually a house and this is the reason why lenders are more willing to offer loans to homeowners. Unsecured loans are the most suitable for tenants since they do not own a house to put up as a security. Unsecured loans are also ideal for those homeowners who do not wish to offer their property as collateral. Although unsecured loans carry higher rates of interest than secured loans, yet many homeowners prefer unsecured loans to secured loans. This is because, in case of a secured loan, your property may be repossessed by the lender if you default in the repayment of loan as per the loan terms and conditions. Since no collateral is required to be offered to obtain unsecured loans, lenders usually rely on borrowers credit score to decide whether or not to grant an unsecured loan to them. Another benefit of unsecured loans is that the time between placing a loan application and getting the loan is very small since there is no need for valuation of any property. Unsecured loans are ideal if you are willing to repay the loan amount in a short period of time. Visit http://www.go4ukloans.co.uk to get additional information on Unsecured Loans. Christian Guide to Witnessing in the Name of Jesus Christ

By Lance Winslow Often Christians will witness to others to get them to join a Church or accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior. What they may not realize is if they do not do it just right they are doing the opposite of their mission. In other words they end up turning off the target, rather than converting them to God. Some mistakes they will often make is assuming the person they are talking to is weak like them or has had such a miserable and pathetic life like they have? Or that the person they are trying to convert has an addiction problem of some type? Personally having been witnessed too about once a week while minding my own business, someone just has to come tell me about their God and their life story of how they found God and it changed their life. That is great, yet what they so often do is start telling me how they were abused as a child, were an alcoholic, did drugs, had a divorce or did some other hideous thing to another. What always turns me off is that I have no sympathy for losers and I am glad they found their invisible friend to help them cope. Surely being psychotic, schizophrenic or having an invisible friend does not impress me, it scares me and considering these pathetic, loser and addiction issues, I do not wish to have them as friends or to be involved in anything they are. I am totally turned off. So if you go around preaching to people, telling them of your pathetic past or your invisible friend be careful how you do it. It is a huge turn off and you make yourself look like a complete fool, lacking personal character and are often perceived as a mental case. Think on this and keep your religion to yourself. “Lance Winslow” – Online Think Tank forum board. Ukrainian Lady Ambition and Care In The Middle of Economical Chaos

By Peter Finch The economical situation in Ukraine is not easy and it forces many ladies to search for better chances abroad. Here is a short explanation why they actually do it. Ukraine is located between Asia and Europe and almost all the traditions and protocol requirements are the same as in the rest of Europe and the western world. In old times it was a patriarchal society but little by little emancipation came in and today man and women are treated as equal partners. Women are hard working and intelligent. They go to universities and are ready to be good employees and even managers. There are a few good business schools which are following the trends in the global economy. Of course here are professions that are suitable exclusively for women and others that are mainly mens territory. However even in engineering there are good professionals who have proven their good names and approaches to the industry problems. At the same time the traditions are very strong and the typical Ukrainian lady will follow them and defend them against everyone who is trying to break them. The most popular values are related to the family and the respect to parents. Women live with their parents almost until they get married. Those who come from smaller cities and villages to study in universities are often controlled by their parents but not in an offensive way. Parents are always interested and play a major role in the life of their children. Girls spend a few years in university and depending on their profession they either stay in the big cities following their career or they go back home. The problem for the Ukrainian woman is that she is very well educated but the poor economical factors in the country are forcing her either to stay unemployed or to work at something that is not directly related to her studies. Often local women are turning their eyes abroad where chances for a better life are higher. Basically they would never leave their parents and families, neither would they want to escape from their friends and places from childhood but unfortunately they do not have much choice. There are ladies who leave for a while to be baby sitters in families from the west dreaming that one day they will be one of those families and that they will have their own children to look after. All these factors are forcing Ukrainian women to use the services of marriage agencies. They hope that with their help they will finally find someone who will accept them as they are and will love them. There is not a general recipe for love but surely there are a lot of etiquette guidelines to follow when you have decided to go after a lady from Ukraine. Ukrainians are no exception to any rule for respect and good behavior. They will appreciate your attention and help and will make everything possible to prove that they are good wives and mothers. Do not be afraid, start an informal chat, who knows, this could be the woman of your life. Check out our reviews of all of the top ukrainian dating agencies at Ukraine Dating Review. Why People Lie

By Timothy Cole Why do people lie, especially to those they love? Lying is a technique that is used to influence, control and manipulate others thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Lying comes naturally, and most of the time, it happens with little awareness, effort, or thought. In fact, children start lying, quite effectively, early in life. And as adults, people continue to lie. Not only is lying fairly common, but it can take several different forms. On occasion, people will tell a bold-faced lie. That is, say something that is explicitly not true. Most of the time, however, lying is best accomplished by what is left unsaid a lie of omission. In this case, speakers leave out critical information (usually about who, what, where, when, or why) while leading hearers to believe that the complete story is being told. As Benjamin Franklin so keenly noted, Half the truth is often a great lie. So why do people lie, especially to those they love? Lying is typically motivated by one or more of the following factors: Avoid Punishment Lying is often used to avoid punishment or possible rejection. If a spouse or romantic partner is going to react poorly to the truth, generally speaking, people try to hide or conceal the truth. By nature, people are designed to avoid harm and punishment, even if individuals have to lie in order to do so. Again, children pick-up this skill early in life and people continue to lie as adults. Seek Approval Not only are people designed to avoid punishment, but people universally have a need for approval. Lying and deception are often used to create a favorable image or impression. People will go to great lengths, even using deception, if necessary, to create a positive image. Often this involves some self-deception as well people start to believe their own false image is true. Maintain Privacy Everyone needs some privacy a sense of independence, autonomy, and freedom. People like to feel in control, especially when it comes to giving out information about ones self. Just because you are in a close relationship does not mean that you have completely given up your right to, or need for, privacy. So, lying and deception are very useful when trying to maintain a sense of ones self that is autonomous, independent, and private. Avoid Conflict Couples rarely see eye-to-eye on every issue. And if couples were determined to (and some do), they could engage in never ending conflict on a range of issues. But, always engaging in conflict is damaging in any relationship. So, rather than argue about every issue that may come up, sometimes it is easier to avoid conflict by pretending to get along. Regulate Power Whether people like to acknowledge it or not, power differences are present in every relationship. Power involves having control when it comes to decision making. And power often switches back and forth between partners depending on the issue at hand. For instance, one partner might have financial power, while another partner may have social power (control in social situations). As a general rule, the person who lacks power in any given situation is more likely to lie in order to influence the outcome. For instance, kids are more likely to lie to their parents, employees are more likely to lie to employers, and the same holds true in close relationships. The person, who lacks power, is more likely to lie in order to get what they want. Lying helps individuals even out power differences that may exist. Article by Timothy Cole, PhD. Don’t Blame Me If I’m Fat!

By Jim Foster In a culture of blame-shifting we often look for someone to blame for our predicament. Being overweight is no different – who is to blame for obesity? “It’s the fast food outlets – supplying us with fatty foods” “Our thin-obsessed society is putting all sorts of pressure on even slightly overweight folks” “The weight loss industry is to blame – after all if everyone was slim – they would go out of business” Some will simply blame the overweight person – making generalizations and attaching unhelpful labels to the person. “After all” they say, “it’s up to us to manage what we eat and how much we exercise”. There is truth in this, but it is too simplistic. Many overweight people have tried desperately to eat ‘properly’ to manage their weight – yet continue to struggle for years. There are a number of outside forces here that have more of an influence than we realise. So Who Is To Blame? The weight loss industry is large, with millions being spent every year by people looking for answers. Like any industry, it has it’s share of charlatans and snake-oil salesmen. Many manufacturers of diet pills and weight loss supplements are certainly opportunists – rather than looking to treat the source (i.e. by eating right), they are trying to treat the symptoms. However we have found that most decent commercial weight loss programs have a genuine interest in helping people manage their weight. So it’s unfair to cast blame on the entire ‘industry’. If we were to start looking for culprits, we might want to cast our eye at the food processing industry – that, coupled with savvy marketing experts, has snared us into eating so many kinds of processed foods that going to the supermarket is like walking through a nutritional minefield. Get Them While Their Young The Center For Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) recently conducted a study of the magazine “National Geographic for Kids”. In 17 recent issues they found 51 ads for junk-foods – including a depiction of one meal that contained 590 calories (remember this is a magazine for children). Many years ago a certain famous fast food outlet began calling its meals for children “Happy Meals” – creating an emotional response and attachment to certain foods – typically nutritionally poor foods. Chemical Food and Clever Marketing It’s not the weight loss industry that’s to blame – but the clever marketing tactics from the food processing giants that are misleading us. To make things worse – some popular weight loss diets have unfortunately associated themselves with snack food corporations, and severely reduced their credibility. Is a low-carb / low-fat (take your pick) snack bar really that good for you? Take a look at the ingredients list – can you decipher all those numbers? Do you understand what a ‘partially hydrogenated oil” is? What about those great ‘health’ bars for the kids – they even have the healthy tick on them (indicating they are recommended by the American Heart Association). On closer inspection those ‘healthy snacks’ are nothing but lots of refined sugar, some white flour, trans fats, and a host of other chemicals. But hey – they’re low in fat so they must be good? Right? Finding the Right Food It’s a nightmare. What exactly is good for you? Who do you believe? Next time you see those bright colors, and eye-catching ads – do your own inspection of the ingredients list – you might be surprised. Recently we bought some cranberry juice for our young daughter who had a slight urine infection – knowing that cranberry has some useful medicinal properties. Like any frazzled parent, having time to stand and stare at the nutrition panel while shopping with children is a rarity. That night our daughter had trouble getting to sleep, and woke up 3 or 4 times in the night. This is unusual for her. On closer inspection of the so-called cranberry juice – we discovered that only 30% is actually cranberry, and the rest is water and ‘high fructose corn syrup’ – a chemically altered sugar with a fair share of (anecdotally) noted poor health affects. What Is The Answer? If obesity had a simple cause, don’t you think we would have the answer by now? Good diet and exercise are the answer – but when we have large corporations spending millions to make us buy their food – it doesn’t seem so simple anymore. Go figure – profit in the food industry is made by either people buying more food, or sourcing/manufacturing basic ingredients at less cost. How does good nutrition factor in this? Are you starting to get the picture? There is no miracle weight loss cure – no diet plan that will fit everyone. The only long term answer is understanding how your own body reacts to the foods you eat. Weight loss is not a 6 week program, but a lifelong commitment to good nutrition and lifestyle.
